The Oakley Trail

We decided to brave the open road and drove to Oakley, ID for Jared's 10 year High School reunion. We left around 5pm on Thursday and got there around 6am.

We set Gavyn up for some cereal and decided to try some bananas. He loves them!

We started our adventures in Oakely with a drive out to see Randy and Temperence's new house. We are so excited for them and just a little bit green... ;)
Friday night Jan was nice enough to watch Gavyn while we went to see Denny in "Footloose".

Saturday was "Pioneer Day" which is a really big deal in Oakley. We had lunch in the park with our dear friends, the Nicolaysens, who were sweet enough to drive down from Rexburg and attend the edge of Jared's reunion on the High Schools' lawn.
We met Temperence and Randy at the house and walked to a good spot to see the parade and saw a couple of old friends along the way.

Then we took some great family pictures! Thanks for the help, tripod and Temperence!
We had a smorgasbord of leftovers from Jan's reunion for dinner and played games together. We paused see the fireworks for the end of the rodeo from the balcony and it was a great show!
Jared and I slept in on Sunday and attended Sacrament meeting with Denny before lunch and our 12 hour ride home. Gavyn was a trooper- he slept most of the way and mostly coordinated re-fueling when the car needed it too.
