b-b-b-b-b-b-bite me.

Here is a cute video of Gavyn's new favorite sound effect. He was doing it all day yesterday.

We have entered the infamous teething stage. It hasn't been as scary as I imagined. I think the only significant thing I've noticed is that it's a lot harder to help him get to sleep for naps and for bed at night. He cries and wiggles like he wants to be put down so we do, and then he yells at us that he wants to be held.

only logical conclusion: teeth make babies irrational.

so long, farewell.

It feels like the end of summer and what a delightful one it has been.

We got some fresh peaches and pears in bulk so I made baby food with a lot of it, but my favorite thing was this fresh peach pie in a home-made graham cracker crust. It tasted like summer. :)
My sister, Sara Joy, gave me some McCormick spice packs with recipe ideas so we tried the apple-sage pork with sweet potatoes and salad. Jared says its his new favorite meal.

I re-painted the triptych canvas' in our living room with a warmer, livelier scene with poppies and we made a flower arrangement that matches. -just to shake things up.

On the 24th we took a walk along the edge of the Puget Sound at Lincoln Park as a sort-of goodbye to summer. I think we'll have a few more sunny days but my uninformed opinion is that it's officially fall now.

And we learned that our dear friends, the Walsers, are moving to Arizona soon. We will miss them dearly and wish them well.

one a day the color way

I made stuffed red bell peppers for dinner last night.
All you have to do is hollow it out, and stuff it with whatever your want- we did ground beef, kidney beans, sweet chili sauce and topped it off with some cheddar.
Wrap it up un tin foil and bake it at 350 for about 45 min.
We had it on a bed of lettuce with some corn.

Delicious.

And Jared bought me flowers.

they got hitched!

And they let me take some picture of them. :)

And make this cool paper decoration for the reception.
