Queen Anne and the potheads

Our weekend adventure started out as a boring errand. (We needed to get my ring inspected or the warranty would be void.) On our way home, we were planning to stop at the Kubota Gardens in Skyway, but there was ridiculous traffic so we got off and ended up on Queen Anne Hill. Where we were hoping there would be less traffic.
The whole afternoon, we kept thinking, "Did everyone just decide to get out and enjoy the nice weather?" "There's probably a game downtown."
So we parked our Buick on the street in front of some stunning multi-million dollar homes, changed a poopy diaper and took a lovely walk through another world; a world with money.
Queen Anne Hill is the hill overlooking Seattle where you can see the classic view of downtown and Mt. Rainier in the distance. We walked to Kerry Park where we took some pictures and saw a big party boat with, what I thought were huge marijuana leaves and decided it was time to head back.

We tried to avoid the I-5 traffic on the way home, and went through downtown instead. Little did we know there was a Mariners' game, Seahawks game and... "Seattle Hempfest" which explained the party boat... and the traffic. We later found out that around 300,000 people attended the hemp convention and clogged up downtown with a lot of potheads. We were in traffic for about 3 hours. I guess we would have enjoyed it more if we'd just rolled down the windows...
